Review Aquapix Lomography Camera

Entry ini untuk peminat kamera. Hari tu ada beli kamera ni dari Lazada. Saja-saja nak try. Dah lama sebenarnya tak pakai kamera filem ni sejak munculnya kamera digital dan kamera mobile phone. 

I'm quite surprised bila harga filem digital masih mahal satu roll sampai RM12 padahal bukan orang pakai pun roll film tu sekarang. Ingatkan murah hehehehe... Last time I bought film roll was 15  years ago!

This Aquapix Lomography Underwater is a point and shoot analog camera. Point and shoot cameras have a fixed aperture and shutter speed setting. So to get a bright picture, you have to manipulate the ISO which is by using higher ISO film, like this i'm using Kodak Color Plus 200, means the ISO is set at 200, suitable for outdoor and indoor photo shoot  This is fun, curious and the result is unexpected!

Complete with underwater casing, so you can use the camera for underwater shooting as well.

So below is my review about the camera.

The first roll of film was a total failure. :D

Dari 36 exposure film, hanya 9 keping yang dapat dicuci, yang lain-lain, ada yang overexposed, underexposed, ada yang tak expose, rasanya saya putar film tu tak habis dan tak dapat framing betul betul (theory sendiri je ni).

Anyway, the result as usual, unexpected (mmg unexpected betul 9 keping je yang menjadi haha), but saya suka warna dan efek khas gambar dari camera ni setelah di "Scan". Totally awesome!

Developing the second roll of film now and I'm crossing my fingers there will be pictures. Most of the time, when I snap, I have no idea whether the camera has taken the photo or not. The indication is quite blur and confusing.

This camera is really fun to play with. It's very light, small and cheap (except for the film roll, film developing and printing cost),  but if you don't like to play trial and error and you can't cope with failure, you should invest on dedicated point and shoot and lomo camera or maybe just stay with the digital :D

Tips :
1. This camera produces nice pictures in the sun
1. For indoor and underwater shooting, you need a high ISO film - 400 and above.. I guess hehehe
2. To get cheap film roll, you can buy online like from ebay, or Lazada, you can buy 2-3 rolls to save on postage.

Printing : RM 0.6 per pcs x 9 pcs = RM 5.40
Total damages : RM 51.40

Note from my mom : Awat hang dok membaziaq beli kamera mainan ni semua, kamera hat besaq tu tak cukup lagi ka?
